Welcome to OA.

You’ve already taken the first step.

You don’t have to know exactly what you’re looking for, and you don’t have to commit to anything. You can simply attend a meeting and see if OA feels right for you.

There are both in person and virtual meetings so you can choose which feels more comfortable for you.

What to Expect at the Meeting

to be welcomed,
to feel safe,
to have your questions answered,
to meet people just like you,
to find support.

Your first OA meeting is a chance to listen, learn, and see if OA feels right for you. Most meetings last about an hour and include readings and members sharing their experiences. You can participate as much or as little as you like, and sharing is always optional.

There are no weigh-ins, membership fees, or religious affiliations. You’ll find a welcoming, supportive space with people who understand struggles with food and believe recovery is possible. Every meeting is different, so it’s okay (and normal) to try a few until you find one where you feel comfortable.
